This is my very very first attempt at spinning, and, thanks to tips from ChocoboGoddess and members of my local spinners guild, I don't think it is too bad for a beginner (at least, that's what people keep saying....); my next spinning will be much better, though.
I included the inset on this one because the larger picture doesn't really show the color well (too many shadows). That'll teach me to look at my pictures before I ply my yarn next time. I'm going to put up a new picture soon that shows it plied, but I have to wait for daylight to get a good pic of it (sans the shadows, hopefully).
ooo! thats awesome! Did you use a spindle or wheel? the color is gorgeous, what type of wool is it? thats exactly the color ive been looking for... *grabs the ball and runs!*
Thanks for the compliment! I only use a drop spindle right now, as I'm far too poor to get a wheel yet. I do really enjoy my spindle, though, I must say. As for what kind of wool, I have no idea. It was part of a package deal I got on eBay (buy the drop spindle and you get some roving with it, but it was a random pick from the seller--all I know is that it is a natural color). And just wait till I put up the picture of the yarn plied!
