Maybe next time... by mailledragon Maybe next time... by mailledragon
This is my very very first attempt at spinning, and, thanks to tips from ChocoboGoddess and members of my local spinners guild, I don't think it is too bad for a beginner (at least, that's what people keep saying....); my next spinning will be much better, though.

I included the inset on this one because the larger picture doesn't really show the color well (too many shadows). That'll teach me to look at my pictures before I ply my yarn next time. ^^; I'm going to put up a new picture soon that shows it plied, but I have to wait for daylight to get a good pic of it (sans the shadows, hopefully).

Thanks for the compliment! I only use a drop spindle right now, as I'm far too poor to get a wheel yet. I do really enjoy my spindle, though, I must say. As for what kind of wool, I have no idea. It was part of a package deal I got on eBay (buy the drop spindle and you get some roving with it, but it was a random pick from the seller--all I know is that it is a natural color). And just wait till I put up the picture of the yarn plied!
